Both women and men are unfaithful, but are often the last ones that relapse many times.

As Puerto Ricans our culture is recognized as one of joy, celebrations, traditions and grandiose monuments that is visited by many around the world. A few years ago there have been in Puerto Rico various activities that make us remember our culture such as carnivals, festivals and celebrations. In the capital of San Juan Puerto Rico was no exception. Each month the final Sunday of the month is celebrated as’ Jazz Fest”bayfront county. An activity that connects the tropical music of our country along withcraft booths and food for the share of Puerto Rican families.
This type of activity should be cast more often as it recalls the unity of a people,talent and culture that so much has been lost. I think this activity is great but it is a pity that our people do not know and appreciate what wehave talent and are moretourists who appreciate and support the more traditional activities such as this. I lovegoing to this festival because I feel and see the peace of the people where there isno fight, no sadness only admiration and enjoyment to our talented Puerto Rican.
Visit to Tutankhamun

The Egyptian civilization was crucial in the formation and emergence of other cultures whose contributions have been significant in the arts, sciences, medicine, mathematics and astrology. In the Gallery of Old San Juan Port since September 2010 presented an exhibition of international renown theme discussed the time of one of the most famous Pharaohs: Tutankhamun. This production was made possible through the hard work of Mr. Luis Guzman and Jos A. Mellado, who spared no resources to mount this exhibition in a way that could be appreciated, enjoyed and easily understood by those who visited. This cultural event failed to attract audiences of all ages and served as a great learning experience and many students in the country.
As part of the material taught in the Introduction to Western Civilization, this exhibition complemented the knowledge of subjects taught, as that was, observed in vivo visual images of that time which allowed transport us on a journey into the ancient Egyptian world.
Producers organized the exhibition using ten rooms to present the life and death of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. Each room represented a civilization and culture, describing times of different dynasties of Egyptian civilization. At first they showed a video, narrating the life of Tutankhamun (3.000 BC), introducing the marriage with her sister to maintain the purity of the blood royal, the loss of his children, his short reign (10 years), and who died young , where they built the tomb was discovered in 1927.
In the first room they placed the golden chariot of Tutankhamun and photographs of the archaeologist Howard Carter who discovered the tomb in which Tutankhamun was buried with many of his belongings. The second room was different facets of busts of Cleopatra, who was known as the richest Greek woman of her time. She was very beautiful and used his charm to win over Julius Caesar and Mark Antony, great Roman leaders. The third room had different facets of the Pharaoh Ramses II, who was famous because he had 200 women, 96 sons and 60 daughters.Abusenbel built the temple. Papyrus showed with 4 huge statues of the Pharaoh.Presented a model of building a pyramid. In the room showed the famous four canopic jars, used to put visors of the dead, to maintain the unity of the body.Adjacent to these was the colossal bust of Ramses II, showing a crown of copper and one bust of Pharaoh incomplete part of the face, which historians interpret as a failed attempt to take it. In the fifth room were the Papyri (picture of a plant), which was used to make paper, making baskets, ropes and boats. Was used to write the book of the dead. They placed large posters in large letters in English and Spanish to present contributions in science, mathematics and astronomy. Who discovered that the year had 365 days and the estimate of pi (π).
The six room was used to present the statue of Akhenaten, Tutankhamun’s father and his family tree. Had the mummy of Ramses III (original piece) with some of their belongings. The room was seven to nine separate display materials relating to the life and death of Tutankhamun. Some items on display were the golden throne, the water clock, the fan made with feathers, funerals beds made of wood and covered in gold, the treasures and the chest containing the viscera of the Pharaoh, required for the journey toward eternal life. The sarcophagus, which contained the tomb of Tutankhamun’s embalmed body, made entirely of gold. Tutankhamun’s face covered by the golden mask with the ideal image of Pharaoh and in the back in hieroglyphic writings begging the gods to protect him to the final journey. The other two sarcophagi were made of wood and covered in gold and semiprecious stones.The room ten is reserved for scientific and medical evidence show the diseases of Tutankhamun.
The visit to the exhibition was well educated, but highly entertaining, as the site chosen for it was very appropriate. The display guides showed mastery of the material presented, which proved helpful for the understanding of exposure.Although the exhibits were not all genuine, did not affect the originality of the exhibition. It was very successful to divide rooms the latest to the oldest.
Francisco Oller a great Painter.

“, was one of the works of Francisco Oller, Puerto Rican great painter, who was outstanding for the period of 1800. Francisco Oller was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, from his childhood was recognized for his talent in painting, drawing and art in general. In his paintings, highlighting very culture of his time and messages of their works. One of his most important works, in addition to the wake, it was “School of Master Rafael.” This work was in honor of a teacher work years without pay, teaching their students. This painting brings what is a culture, a belief and an image control for the year 1890, which is highlighting your great works. Oller had a great career in her career as a painter, but shocked many by transmitting messages in their works.
Oller This work presents a landscape of feelings of both joy and sadness and fatigue. An exhausted man in the struggle of teaching a group of children. The man is tired but doing his job as a teacher in this group of students. On the other hand we have the kids happy and joyful learning what he taught and enjoying being there with each other in learning. In this work we can see that there was not any racism in his paintings, and that shows in more than one occasion shared between the different races without problems or discrimination, which for those times was very marked in the whole world and that racism existed. The teacher is a great example of a person with sorrow and fatigue but willing to show their talents to others so that they develop it.
In this we can see what a bit of our culture, ideals and faith. For the 1800 season in Puerto Rico, teaching could only get the upper class and white people, which here in this work, Oller leaves apart and send us a message that all are equal and this so everyone has the right to learn and develop as professionals. Culture is also the locker room presence using the teacher and children is also seen as at the time the schools had no desks for each child separately, if not all sat together and learned what the teacher taught them .
Another major observation of this work is the sense of Francisco Oller religion that makes this work. Images of God and the Virgin are present in the walls of this school as representing the spirit and faith of this master. The faith that is lived in those times is another belief that Oller presents in his work and detail of children crying, talking, learning or laughing, showed the feeling versatile in one place, compared to today still exists.
Among the colors used in this work of art is light, what is seen in the landscape at the end of the table. The synthesis of bodies, clothing and landscapes in this table are well defined, which stands to this great artist for his great detail in his works. It is a room which is also made snuff and you can see that the table presented in the table is where you work with it, something for those times was a major source of money from Puerto Rico.
Francisco Oller impressed many with his talent and the development of their works, not only by the message of struggle, discrimination, racism or culture each work presented in this painting. Oller stands out for its large and small details in his works. As in this work of “School of Master Rafael”, an entire table focuses on a teacher teaching in a community of children, but beyond is that this teacher does not discriminate to teach that knowledge and even the environment that it joy is found, the teacher becomes sad, and that in these times people of color did not give importance or nowhere. We presented the time, the time and the struggle of this teacher who stood out as an example for many. The culture at the time and the development of snuff. Here in Puerto Rico people love to go to parties. When we decide to go to a party or activity one of the things that we ask is, if they are going to give cake or cup cakes? Part of our tradition in Birthdays or activities that involve food is having a dessert at the end of every dinner, birthday or lunch. This is a very easy way to make a cake or cup cakes that everyone is going to love. There are different ways to make cup cakes or cake; however the cup cakes are better when there are a lot of people in a party or activity. For a better result the ingredient, process and decoration of the cup cake are important.
To make the best cup cakes ever you need to have certain things (ingredient) that are the key for the success of your cup cake parties. First you need to have a bowl, in which you are going to put all the materials that you are going to use. Another thing is the oil, this one is important for the texture of the cake. The important part of the oil is to maintain the texture soft when people eat it. Eggs are another ingredient that is important in the recipe. Egg give flavor to the recipe of the cup cakes. We need water for our cup cakes and the most important part is the mix.
The process is another important part in the way we make cup cakes. To have the best cup cakes ever you need to fallow the process step by step, because if you keep some ingredient out, your recipe can be a disaster and you will not have the credit for all the process that you have been through for the cup cakes .The first step is to mix the eggs, oil and water in the bowl. After doing that you need to mix the water and the mix that you are going to use, in this case chocolate mix. The way to cook the cup cakes is putting the oven in 360F degrees for 20 to 30 minutes for 30 cup cakes, however this time can vary depending on how many you are going to do. If you want your cup cakes to have a softer texture, you can put a little butter in the tray. Doing cup cakes is not that hard but if you don’t do the process how you are supposed to it can turn in to a disaster.
People know that when food is not presented well, in most cases you don’t eat it. The last thing in the process of making cup cakes is the decoration of the cup cakes. A great presented decoration of the food or in this case cup cakes, makes people want more cup cakes. The last thing you want is for no one to eat your cup cakes. For decoration, are a lot of things that you can do, depending on the occasion. Presenting the cup cakes with a great decoration makes your cup cakes the master piece of the activity.
As we know parties without food are not parties. We always need something to eat when we are going to an activity. Cup cakes are an easy to make and people enjoy them. Cup cakes are great for every occasion. Making these kinds of things help you to be more creative and is a fun thing to do.

Anastasio Somoza: A Nicaraguan Dictator
History of mankind has shown that human’s greed has been one of the major causes of conflicts among human beings. This greed has caused disorders in humanity and it has led them to wars, destruction, and economical disasters as well. Many countries around the world have been affected by their leader’s greed, which has brought many consequences in their economical development. Countries such as Africa, Haiti, and Nicaragua are examples of how their political leaders have become very rich by using their power corruptively in order to benefit themselves. In the mid 1900’s, two big political dictators from two Latin Americans’ countries became very famous, powerful, and rich due to the way they governed, which brought poverty and other economical problems to their countries.
Anastasio Somoza became rich and famous by being a corrupt dictator while he was ruling Nicaragua. An American journalist, Christpher Minsten, stated that his administration, while being one of the most corrupt in history and brutal to dissidents, was nevertheless supported by the United States because it was viewed as anti-communist. He also stated that his regime was extremely crooked. All his family members were in every important office, which leaves no room for anyone else to be involved in his government. Somoza greed ran unchecked. The government seized profitable farms and industries and then sold them to family members at absurdly low rates. This shows that Anastasio was using his power not only to benefit himself, but also to benefit his family, instead of putting his country first, as they are supposed to do.
Another way that greed was shown in his leadership occurred when Somoza named himself director of the railway system, and then used it to move his goods and crops at no charge to himself. According to a Nicaraguan journal written by Eduardo Crawley, the industries that they could not personally exploit, such as mining and timber, they leased to foreign (mostly U.S.) companies for a healthy share of the profits. He and his family made untold millions of dollars. His two sons continued this level of corruption, making Somoza Nicaragua one of the most crooked countries in the history of Latin America. This sort of corruption had a lasting effect on the economy, stifling it and contributing to Nicaragua as a somewhat backward country for a long time.
Even though many years have passed, it hasn’t been easy for Nicaraguans to forget the way of ruling that this dictator, Anastasio Somoza had among his citizens. Not just because of all the money that he stole from his own government in order to get richer and expand his power, but also because of the deficit that it brought to his country. While he was getting richer his country was getting poorer. As a dictator of a country, he was supposed to be looking for ways to help improve the economical disaster, but instead he was looking for ways to help improve his bank accounts even more. His country was affected because all the money that he stole could have been used for different purposes. They could have invested that on building schools, they could have rebuilt their city, or they could have used all that money to create more jobs which was something that needed to be done. Nowadays Nicaragua has been improving in an economical standpoint, but it’s still classified as the second poorest country in Latin America, Haiti being the poorest one, according to the Rural Poverty Portal.
Bacardi,Puerto Rico Rum

The name of Bacardi is not only know in the Caribbean, is all over the world. I remember in a cruise that I took in Europe, all the run that they offer were Bacardi, in that moment my curiosity of this factory began. Puerto Rico is known for its good rum, the taste and variety of it, that tourist and locals can enjoy. Bacardi is not the only distillery of run in the world, but it is the most popular and most famous by far. In Puerto Rico they offer a tour of the history, the public can visit its distiller in Cataño Puerto Rico, to find out about such a great rum. When I got to Bacardi after parking, I walked into an open-air area, the Bacardi greeter gave me a ticket for the tour and 2 free drink tickets. The tours are every 20 minutes and consisted of visiting the new world (the history), home of the bat (a theater with the history of the name and symbol), the first distillery, the production and the lounge.
Entering to the building casa Bacardi you can see the hard work throughout theyears, pictures of old distilleries and people working in this great invention. . Facundo Bacardi was the founder of the company in Santiago, Cuba in 1834.Facundo was the one that invented the mix of Bacardi. In 1972 they established headquarters in Puerto Rico, and until today the Bacardi rum is known as Puerto Rico Bacardi rum, the best rum in the world. The great symbol of the Bat in the middle of the building was impressive. The memories of Bacardi have a lot of secrets. “The bat, that represents the symbol of the company, means family union, honor and loyalty” as Jorge Rivera said . Another important part of the history is the name of the company. The name of the company came from the last name of Facundo Bacardi and still today the company is in the hand of the original family, in its sixth generation.
When we went to the distillery you can even smell the taste of different flavors. It’s was very cool and you walk throughout a maze with different stations. Each station represent more history of this company, the rum and the Bacardi family. At first you enter to a room that was the office of Facundo, you can see old documents of the distillery, picture of the family and even news papers of those times. In the other station the first distillery that they use in 1834. You can see the old and little they were back in the days when Bacardi was only establish in Santiago Cuba. Facundo never thought that the company was going to get as famous as it did when he began, because he only sold his product around Santiago, Cuba. He never thought that people will come from all over the word to taste his product. As Jorge Rivera said “Bacardi has changed the market of rum, indeed they have changed the world”. Facundo had a magnificent Idea of marketing his product. He started promoting his product in all the bars in Cuba; it was so famous that people from all over the world wanted to taste the Bacardi rum. There began the history of Bacardi, at that moment Facundo had the capacity to distill 30 barrels per batch. Today they have the capacity to produce more than 6,000 litres per day. Making more than a 1,000 bottles of the different products of Bacardi in one day they had the largest distillery in Puerto Rico.
Then I keep the maze until the end, there was a big theater. It was very cool and the decoration was like a big cage of bats. The roof was all blue and when the lights went of the little lights represents stars at the sky. The video was a movie of the process of the rum, the first distillery and the improve throughout the years. The process of making the rum and the combination they use was very interested. For Facundo inventing the mix was only the beginning, because today the Bacardi family earns more than 10 different rum recognize and invented more than 10 different drinks that use Bacardi. At the end of the tour they have a room where you can record your video saying anything that you want and send it to your self . With a big store full of rum, souvenirs and even cloth of Bacardi the tour ended with a thank you and enjoy Puerto Rico.
For Puerto Rico it is a great opportunity having such history in our country. Bacardi contributes to the economy, along with the government of Puerto Rico giving 250 million dollar every year as mention in the tour. Most of this money is for the education in Puerto Rico. It’s a great thing to do and they also help other organizations as their sponsors. The Bacardi Corporation is a great experience; also a lot of tourist come to see that area, so that’s better for our country. For me it is great experience learning about the history of Bacardi. Although I’ m not so proud of the accidents or problems that a lot of people have because of drinking, I know that’s not Bacardi responsibility. For me making a difference is important, and Facundo Bacardi made a big difference in the world.
Best Movie In The World “The Diary of a Mad Black Woman”

For me movies are one of the things you can do to be relaxed. In my case the best movies are the ones that teach you a lesson or give us a message that we can us throughout life. My favorite movie and I really recommended too everyone is “The Diary of a Mad Black Woman” directed by Tyler Perry’s wish I recommend to see all his movies because they all have a true story and a message behind them. This movie was made in 2005 and I can see it 3 or 4 times a week and I never stop living it. This movie is all about drama and comedy.
“The story is about Helen McCarter has seemingly had the perfect life with husband Charles McCarter. Over the years, Helen has been a faithful and loving wife, while Charles built a successful and lucrative career as a prominent Atlanta attorney. They wear the latest fashions, drive the nicest cars, have all the possessions they need, and they live on an expansive estate complete with an extravagant mansion, swimming pool, tennis court and all the trappings of wealth–a little piece of paradise away from the city. However, on the eve of their 18th wedding anniversary, Helen’s paradise begins to crumble as Charles announces that he wants a divorce. Death penalty and life-time sentence are crimes or justice?
Today we live in a world full of violent acts such as Death penalty, murders, and life-time sentence. This entire act’s disturbs a serious number of members in the society in general and individual ways. The Death penalty as well as the life-time sentence is something that people around the world are trying to stop it of happening to have a better and peaceful world. Some of the different countries all around the world that are in favor of Death penalty and life-time sentence as well as those countries that are against it. These punishments are difficult to decide and to make decisions like this one takes time, proof and analysis of the case. All of these acts bring damage to the emotional feeling to every person around the world and its country.
Even we live in the same world each country have their own rules and decision making when it comes to decide the Death penalty and life-time sentence of a person. The death penalty to some countries is something very normal, is like a way of correcting a criminal so that he or she won’t commit the crime again. Some of the countries that make this decision legal are countries like the Guatemala, some states in the United States and some country’s of the Caribbean that have supported since the beginning. Some of the Countries that are against are New Switzerland, Canada and Australia. In another hand the life-time sentence in most of the countries is legal because, they believe is the best way of making a person pay for what he or she have done without making the decision of taking the life of someone. Throughout history, Death penalty and life-time sentence had always existed. It has been practice in different ways, depending on the culture and technology in different region of the world.
To take the decision of putting someone in jail the rest of their life or killing them, takes a lot of work and proof that sometimes can go for month, day and even year. Decisions like these depend on the judges to make it happen and are really a difficult work for theme to decide about the life of other people by sending theme the rest of their life to prison or to kill them. There are cases in the united state of judges that are destroyed after making the decision of death penalty or life-time sentence to a person that at the end in some cases was telling the true of being innocent. A lot of countries and societies are embarrass of this kind of law because they don’t understand that the technology is so advance in some areas but in the areas more important like the life of a person is the opposite.
The emotion are affected to not only by the families of those people, but the own countries suffers too. The governments are part of the example of the values of a person and the example that they are giving is to say that is good to kill a person, because is part of the punishment that they receive by doing something bad. People get affected by this it doesn’t matter from what country you are or what culture or if he or she is part of your family, at the end everyone is affected. When people take decision like this one
We are not god to decide with person deserve to die or live. The state isn’t god, no matter what they believe. We are human beings. We are supposed to find a way to coexist in harmony and in peace. When do we want to start thinking about others and stop living like animals? A person has committed murder, maybe he have to be punish but not with death. God will know the time for him to leave and what punished should be placed on the criminal. In this life, we are supposed to help others to change and give opportunities. We made the same mistake with Jesus, and he forgive is. Let is be like him and learn to forgive others without hate. Don’t let the hate or rancor conquer our minds.
